英会話が楽しく感じると、日々の生活の中でも英語学習が自然にできるようになります。今まで見過ごしていた英語の看板や音などに自然と注意を向けるようになってきます。英会話学習は実際の場面で話したり、聞いたり、つまり体験するという事が大変重要です。体験したことは習得しやすくなります。

今回は「電車の車内放送を聞いてみよう」です。

コロナ禍の現在、電車の中で自由におしゃべりすることが難しくなっています。ぜひ、利用した際には、車内放送で流れる英語の内容に耳を傾けてください。

 

車内での注意事項が流れてきます。

 

Please set your mobile phone to silent mode and refrain from talking on the phone.

refrain from・・・「・・を控える・やめる」

（注意）マナーモードは和製英語です。Silent 又はVibrateの単語を使います。

 

It may be necessary for the train to stop suddenly, to prevent an accident. So please be careful.

電車は事故防止のためやむを得ず急停車することがあります。ご注意ください。

The next station is Higashi Totsuka. There are priority seats in most cars. Please offer your seat to those who may need it.

priority seats・・・「優先席」

 

戸塚駅に到着です。

 

The next station is Totsuka. The doors on the right side will open. Please change here for the Tōkaidō Line and the Yokohama Subway Blue Line.

 

・・ちなみに、横須賀線に乗っています。

 

大船駅に到着です。

 

The next station is　Ofuna. The doors on the right side will open. Please change here for the Tōkaidō Line, the Negishi Line and the Shōnan Monorail Line. Please watch your step when you leave the train.

“Please watch your step”・・・「足元に注意してください」

エスカレータの乗り降りの際にも同じ言葉が音声が聞こえてくることがあります。

また、モノレールの発音、よく聞いてみてください。“モノレール”とは聞こえませんね。
